Bethany School, Sheffield, Christian Family Schools
How Is The School Managed?

Bethany School is managed by a Board of Governors, who are, or have been, parents of the children attending the school. All parents have an active role in running the school and meet regularly to discuss, plan and pray for the work of the school. The day to day running of the school is in the hands of the Head Teacher, who is accountable to the Board of Governors.

Staffing and Parental Involvement

Bethany School currently employs three full time and nine part time staff who are responsible for working in the Infant, Junior and Senior sections of the school.

Parents and friends, some of whom have teaching experience, but all with relevant gifts and expertise, also teach or assist with the teaching across the full range of age and ability. This means that we have over twenty staff directly involved with the children each week; so class sizes tend to be small. Parents are also responsible for other aspects of school life. Examples include: repairs, financial matters, administration, duties, display and publicity. Each year parents commit themselves to assisting in specific areas.
