Bethany School has an open admissions policy which means that we do not select our pupils with reference to faith, ability, aptitude or on the ability of the family to fully fund a place at Bethany School. The policy is designed to help discern the best way forward for your family as you consider applying for a place at Bethany School.

Visits to the school can be arranged so that parents and children can see the school in operation and feel fully informed before applying for admission. The School Information Pack and application forms are issued during the school visit. School visits are normally arranged once very half term on the last Monday morning at 9.30 am.

Bethany School offers places to families and expects that parents will apply for all their (school-age) children. When application forms are received, further discussions with the family are arranged. The informal meeting with two of our Governors is designed to see if the needs of the family and the school can be satisfactorily met. The class teacher may also wish to spend some time with the child before admission is finalised. If a place at Bethany School is to be offered then the date for entry will be decided at the Governors Meeting following the home visit.
