MANX RADIO WELCOMES BETHANY SCHOOL

During the February half term break we were invited to the Isle of Man to talk about Bethany School. A former pupil, Joy Baxter, is on the island working on a Gap Year placement for the Scripture Union Mission Team (SUMT). As part of her work, Joy was involved in organising a Conference called Growing Faith and Families. Our task was to explain how Bethany School supports parents in their responsibility for the education of their own children and how this helps families in leading their children towards faith in God.

The Conference was well attended by groups from all over the island and from many different church and educational settings. We had meetings with the Bishop’s education representative and Manx Radio devoted their Sunday morning ‘Praise’ slot to Bethany School. The SUMT were very kind and hospitable and we managed to have a couple of days being tea-shop tourists.

** LATEST NEWS … We are really pleased to hear that Joy has been accepted for an Internship with SUMT. Joy will be on the Isle of Man for another year working in the island’s schools. In the Manx Radiointerview Joy admitted that she would love to be involved with a Christian school on the island. Perhaps, this could be stage 1 of her ambition. If you would like to support Joy or receive her prayer letters, please contact Bethany School.
